I’m Damon, and Logan Circle is a renovated-rowhouse town

The Logan I started moving in 2010 isn’t the Logan of today. The 14th Street corridor ran the rebuild, and now most of the rowhomes between P Street and Rhode Island Avenue have been gut-renovated — finished cellars, refinished floors, roof decks, the works. That’s a different move than an original 1890s house.

What changes when the house is renovated

More floors of finished space means a longer carry and more square footage of original heart-pine and tile to protect. We treat every Logan move as four levels: cellar, parlor, second, third — plus the roof deck if there’s furniture up there.

The flat-rate price we quote

Logan moves typically run with three movers and a truck at $219/hr, then get locked as a flat written rate after we walk the house. The flat rate covers blankets, shrink-wrap, dollies, mattress bags, and floor runners — no surprise add-ons on move day.

The 14th Street factor

  • Loading windows before the lunch crowd hits 14th Street restaurants
  • DDOT permits pulled by our office for the front-row spot
  • Roof-deck pieces (grills, planters, dining sets) rigged through the stairs, not over the side
  • COI sent to any condo building on the receiving end

If you’re sizing up to a Wharf or Navy Yard high-rise, our condo and high-rise crew handles the freight-elevator end. Start your written quote with me directly.

Our DC crew already knows the marble stoops, the narrow staircases, the cobblestone alleys, the parking permits and the freight-elevator windows throughout Logan Circle.

Questions we hear from this block

Do you move full three-story renovated rowhomes?
Yes — that's a typical Logan Circle move for us. Cellar, parlor, two floors of bedrooms, plus a roof deck. We staff the right number of movers and quote it as one flat rate.
Can you protect the original stoop and the new floors?
Always. We lay stoop pads, runners on every staircase, and corner guards on the doorframes. Most Logan rowhomes have refinished heart-pine floors we treat like glass.
How early can you start on a weekday?
Our crews can be on your block at 7 a.m. so we beat the 14th Street morning rush. Earlier on request.
How it works

How a DC move with our crew comes together

1

Send both ZIPs and a target date

The address you’re leaving, the one you’re landing in, and the size of the home — under a minute, nothing owed.

2

Read one flat DC figure in writing

A single locked number lands back — no hourly clock ticking on the crew while they work the stoop.

3
