One DC flat figure on paper, no hourly meter — takes about a minute to start.

Anything you share is used solely to price your move — never sold, never spammed.

I’m Damon — and Dupont moves live or die on the staircase

Almost every Dupont Circle building I see is a four or five story walk-up with no elevator. That sets the tone for the whole job. We staff one extra mover on stair-heavy buildings, and we bring a forearm-strap rig for the awkward pieces — sleeper sofa, queen box spring, marble-top dresser.

Embassy Row, R Street, and the Circle itself

Dupont is also where the District turns diplomatic. Massachusetts Avenue from the Circle north hits Embassy Row, and closures for state visits are real. Our dispatcher Curtis watches the State Department alerts and reroutes through R Street or Florida Avenue when your move-day overlaps a motorcade.

What’s in the flat rate

  • Two movers and a truck at $169/hr or three movers and a truck at $219/hr — quoted as a flat rate before we load
  • Blankets, shrink-wrap, dollies, hand trucks
  • Floor runners on every staircase landing
  • COI to your building manager (Dupont co-ops want one)
  • Mattress bags, TV boxes for screens up to 75 inches

Where Dupont clients move

A lot of Dupont leases run out and folks size up to a real apartment with an elevator — that means our high-rise apartment crew ends up running the second half of the move. If you’re heading farther, we drive our own trucks long-distance through our long-haul service. Either way, browse our DC service areas or request a written flat rate.

Flat-rate Dupont Circle moving

Two of our movers with a truck at $169/hr, or a single flat written DC rate set before the truck rolls

Our DC crew already knows the marble stoops, the narrow staircases, the cobblestone alleys, the parking permits and the freight-elevator windows throughout Dupont Circle.

Questions we hear from this block

My building has no elevator. Is that a problem?
Not for us. Most of the 4-and-5 story walk-ups around Connecticut Avenue and 17th Street have no elevator at all. We staff an extra mover on stairs jobs so the carry doesn't drag past your written quote.
Do you work around Embassy Row street closures?
Yes. When Massachusetts Avenue closes for a state visit, our dispatcher reroutes through R Street or Florida Avenue and we still hit your window.
Will the truck fit on my Dupont side street?
Usually a 26-footer fits the side streets off the Circle, but the inner one-ways near P Street are tighter — we'll send a 20-footer if your block calls for it.
How it works

How a DC move with our crew comes together

1

Send both ZIPs and a target date

The address you’re leaving, the one you’re landing in, and the size of the home — under a minute, nothing owed.

2

Read one flat DC figure in writing

A single locked number lands back — no hourly clock ticking on the crew while they work the stoop.

3

Our uniformed DC crew rolls in

W-2 movers in our own trucks arrive on schedule and run the whole job from first box to last.
